What We Offer

Soul Care

Soul care is offered in recurring 50-minute sessions where your story is received with steadiness, curiosity, and care. It is relationally attuned and trauma-informed, attentive to the ways your nervous system, attachment history, and longings have shaped you.

Together, we create a safe and responsive space, thoughtfully curated to your particular needs and paced with gentleness rather than urgency. This is not about fixing you, but about accompanying you toward deeper integration, freedom, and wholeness. See FAQ’s for thoughts about how this might differ from traditional psychotherapy.

Spiritual Direction

Spiritual direction is a prayerful companionship that creates space to notice where God is already at work in your life. While counseling attends primarily to psychological healing and integration, spiritual direction is concerned with discernment—learning to recognize and respond to the subtle movements of grace and God’s Spirit.

Grounded in safety and relational attentiveness, this space honors your story while gently guiding you toward deeper communion, trust, and alignment with the Spirit’s leading. Its aim is to awaken you—helping you live more consciously within God’s presence and invitation. Spiritual direction is provided by certified spiritual directors.

Five-Day Intensives

Five-Day Intensive Soul Care is a focused, immersive experience designed for those seeking sustained, intentional work over a concentrated period of time. Conducted with a licensed therapist or another experienced practitioner—either in person or virtually—this format allows for a level of depth and momentum that is often difficult to achieve in traditional weekly sessions.

Over several consecutive days, we move between reflection, embodied regulation, narrative work, integration, and application. A three-day option is also available for those seeking meaningful but shorter engagement.

The aim of an intensive is not speed, but depth—creating space for clarity, connection, and renewed hope. Click “Our Team” to find bio’s of our intensive counselors, or navigate to https://www.chuckdegroat.net/soul-care-intensives for even more information.

Coaching

Coaching within The Soul Care Collaborative is a relational, forward-facing process designed to support clarity, courage, and intentional movement. Grounded in trauma-informed awareness and spiritual attentiveness, coaching helps you discern next steps and translate insight into practical action.

Coaching is especially helpful during seasons of transition, vocational discernment, leadership strain, organizational change, burnout recovery, or when you sense a need for renewed purpose or direction—but not clinical therapy. Our coaches are trauma-informed and often work with tools like the Enneagram.

Its unique aim is embodied movement—supporting you in aligning your values, calling, and decisions with integrity and steadiness.

Group Intensives

Group Intensives offer a focused, 3–5 day experience of deep exploration in a supportive community. These may feature senior pastors or leaders, a staff team, or some other group. Designed for those seeking growth in emotional intelligence, character formation, and overall wellbeing, these intensives blend teaching, guided reflection, experiential exercises, and facilitated group dialogue. Participants explore patterns in their story, gain insight into relational dynamics, and engage practices that foster grounded, courageous, and authentic presence. Each intensive creates a confidential space for meaningful transformation, connection, and renewed clarity in both life and vocation.
